CITC organized the seminar on “Sustainable Pathways to Low Carbon Societies”

Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) together with Faculty of environment Management, Prince Songkla University (PSU) and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University organized the side event on “Sustainable Pathways to Low Carbon Societies” at the Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia 2016” at the Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia 2016 during 23 March 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The objective of the seminar is to enhance understanding on the importance of low carbon society development in view of sustainable development as well as learn effective approaches to accelerate low-carbon development, such as strengthening relevant policies and actions.

In the event, there were various topic related to climate change and sustainable development presented by distinguished speakers such as “Low carbon and resilient societies drivers for sustainable development” and “Sustainable Development and Climate Change –Toward enhancing the role of capacity building for implementation of NDCs in the ASEAN countries” including the introduction of the CITC as a regional center on climate change by Dr. Jakkanit Kananurak, CITC’s Director.

There were more than 70 participants from government sector, private sector and academia joined the event
