Workshop On “ Impact Management On Climate Change In The Context Of Cities And Communities ”

During 6-7 September 2017, Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) under Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) and Southeast Asia START Regional Center organized workshop on “Impact Management on Climate Change in the Context of Cities and Communities” at Ibis Bangkok Riverside Hotel.

In this regards, Mrs. Prasertsuk Chamornmarn, Executive Director of TGO delivered an opening speech for the workshop and Dr.Jakkanit Kananurak, Director of CITC reported objectives of the workshop which were to provide knowledge on climate change adaptation, to raise awareness on climate change and risk of cities and communities to management level, to apply for their department and to build network for exchanging and sharing khowledge on Climate Change Adaptation.

There were 30 representatives from 10 municipalities from local government joined the course included Hatyai City Municipality, Huaikaokum Subdistrict Municipality, Nan City Municipality, Nonthaburi Municipality, Nong Samrong Municipality, Phuket Municipality, Sanphanet Municipality, Sa la Glang Municipality, Udon City Municipality and Yan Ta Khao Municipality and Department Of Public Works And Town & Country Planning , Suphanburi Province.

In this regards, Mr.Suppakorn Chinwanno from Southeast Asia START Regional Center, Asst.Prof.Dr. Wijitbusaba Marome and Asst.Prof.Dr. Wannarat Kornisaranukul from Thammasat University and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Natchawit Tikul from Maejo University delivered lectures and leaded an activity on “Resilience City Game” and activity on “Scenario Plan Workshop” for exchanging and sharing khowledge on Climate Change Adaptation.
