Peer Review Meeting On Low Carbon Society Development: LCSD For Local Government

On 14 October 2014, Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) organized the peer review of the curriculum on Low Carbon Society Development for local government in Thailand. The curriculum is developed by the cooperation between CITC and the Japan International Cooperation (JICA). In this regards, Ms. Prasertsuk Chamornmarn, TGO Executive Director and Dr. Natarika Wayuparb, TGO Deputy Executive Director were chairman of the meeting 

The Director of Capacity Development Office (TGO) Dr. Jakkanit Kananurak and the Assistant Senior Official of TGO, Ms. Apaphatch Hunsiritrakun made a presentation on the overall content of the curriculum. Also the JICA expert team lead by Mr. Masahiko Fujimoto, Mr. Kazuhito Yamada and Mr. Satoshi Iemoto joined the peer review and presented the curriculum.

The purpose of this peer review is to assess the quality and the suitability of curriculum by the reviewers who are experts in environment and climate change from various organizations both government and academic representatives such as the Department of Local Administration, Office of International Cooperation on Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, The National Municipal League of Thailand, Prince of Songkla University, Kasetsart University and Thammasat University. The comments of the reviewers will be used for further development of the efficient curriculum.
