“Training Needs Assessment Workshop On Climate Change Mitigation In The Land Transport Sector” Organized By CITC And GIZ

Climate Change International Technical and Training Center: CITC in cooperation with German International Cooperation (GIZ) organized Training Needs Assessment Workshop on “Climate Change Mitigation in the Land Transport Sector”. The workshop was held during 2 - 3 July 2014, at Training Room, Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), Bangkok, Thailand. In this regards, The Deputy Director of TGO, Ms. Natarika Wayuparb and The Director, Programme on Cities, Environment and Transport, ASEAN/German Technical Cooperation, Mr. Roland Haas kindly offered opening remarks to welcome all participants. Also Dr. Jakkanit Kananurak stated the objective and expected outcome of the workshop. In this event the audiences were from various organization expertises in the field of Climate Change Mitigation in the land Transportation Sector, low-carbon planning, city planning and climate change includes expertise in academic sectors. The speaker was from GIZ Team Leader of TCC projects, Mr. Sven Callebaut who are specialize in conducting of Training Assessment.

The objective of the workshop is to start formulating a training road-map by using the TRAIN-X methodology to develop comprehensive training packages in the field of clean air for smaller cities, sustainable port development, sustainable urban transport and transport and climate change.
