The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is one of the first steps that governments took in addressing the threats posed by global warming. The CDM is an innovative features under the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which aims to stabilize the concentration of greenhouse gas (GHG) in the atmosphere to prevent dangerous anthropogenic (human induced) interference with the climate system.
