On October 22, 2020, Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a meeting to prepare for the assessment of greenhouse gas sequestration under the project of reforestation and forest fire prevention at the meeting room 2 TGO. The meeting aims to clarify project development process and methods for calculating the amount of greenhouse gas sequestration for registration under Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER) in forest sector and green area.

            Mr. Kiatchai Maitriwong, Executive Director of the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization was the chair of this meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Royal Forest Department, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning, and Forest Industry Organization. All participants discussed and presented the progress of project implementation. Furthermore, a framework was set for an effective management and cooperation of all participating agencies.
