The project enables stakeholder engagement and learning process to build up capabilities and preparedness for the target sectors of 15 pilot industries in assessing the Thailand voluntary emission trading scheme, its MRV and features as well as operating rules. As a result, the project accomplished its tasks in MRV testing and improvement of relevant guidelines includes, three sector-specific monitoring and reporting guidelines, the verification and accreditation guidelines as well as recommendations from industrial sectors, verification bodies and accreditation bodies according to the public participation and learning process. The seminar on the Thailand voluntary emission trading scheme pilot implementation project was held on August 13, 2020, at Pullman King Power Hotel, aimed to disseminate its outcome includes the Thailand-VETS MRV testing and guidelines improvement for the target sectors as well as recommendation according to the stakeholder engagement and public participation process. There are 59 Participants join this seminar. Apart from that, TGO held the honorary ceremony for 15 pilot organizations regards to their strong leadership and contribution, certificates of appreciation were awarded by TGO deputy executive director, Dr Pongvipa Lohsomboon. In further, Dr. Pongvipa had presentation on the development of Economic instrument in reducing Greenhouse gas for private sectors in Thailand. To this project, its outcome could be a strong basis in supporting and alter significant GHG reduction approach by using the carbon pricing mechanism in the future.
